100songs

From Pink Floyd to AR Rahman.

A Pink Floyd song switches from 6/8 to 4/4 swing partway through. An RD Burman song mixes modes in the antara. An AR Rahman song puts a big reverb on the kick, something we’re taught not to do.

Every Sunday I play you sections from 10 songs and break down how each was done, showing you ideas you can use in your own music.

We’ll cover melody, production, music theory, song structure and mixing. By the end, you’ll have learnt 100 secrets the pros use.

Watch the recording of the first session.

I’m a huge fan of how beautifully Nitin deconstructs a song.

Amazing workshop which doesn’t feel like a workshop. Extremely interactive and sprinkled with examples of Bollywood Hollywood and classical music.
